No "Extra SSE Boost"?

Post by kelliegang »

I'm not getting the "Extra SSE Boost" message, someone mentioned that if this is the case one should reboot but this apparantly isn't working for my little comp :(

Some cores doesn't print it (because they don't support SSE).

Please post the relevant part of the FAHLog.txt file.

Ah.. Thats probably the answer then... I just noted that whilst I usually get about 300 points per day per core on my desktop and laptop I've recently only been getting 100-150, thought it had something to do with the sse thing but, seeing as how it doesnt "fix" when I reboot sounds like I'm running work units that dont support it, likely something else going on with my comp then :)
Thanks toTOW sorry for the ignorance ;)

If you post which project you're folding, I'll be able to tell if it can use SSE or not.

4615 is an Amber project and that does n't use SSE - but AMD CPUs like them, and tend to work faster then Intells on those WUs.
