Certificate Problem

My User Statics page show up-to-date and correct information, but both my score certificate and WU certificate show "0." I have posted about this problem several times without resolution or even a response. I think it your server has rejected my other posts because I included my email ID.

There is anti spam limits on new forum users. No email address or URLs can be posted. So your forum history only shows this one single post. Welcome!

Sounds like I have heard of this problem before. You might try the forum search. Something about user names with full email addresses goofing up the Certificate URL. Just modify the URL to only show your name, not the rest of the encrypted characters to hide your email addy.

Re: Certificate Problem
Hi I am having the same problem. My username is Ryan_Plate and I see zero's on the certificates for both WU's and Score.
Here is the link for the score I see: http://fah-web2.stanford.edu/awards/cac ... .65988.jpg

Re: Certificate Problem
rplate, try 7im's suggestion using this URL:
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/awards/cert ... Ryan_Plate
I currently see 65,000 points for you on the certificate using that URL

Re: phpbb3 technical issues
Technically, the certificates are not phpBB issues, but I'm able to get a valid certificate. I went to http://fah-web2.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/ma ... =userstats and using my handle, I did find points and did get a certificate.
Then I entered the name TKONN42, it didn't find your points. Where are you finding the scores that you're reporting?

Re: phpbb3 technical issues
Interesting. I've noticed the "0 points" certificate for a long time, but it doesn't worry me. However, I can confirm there is a problem.
Try this:

If it looks right, then I have the jpg image -- I'll post it in return for instructions as to how and where!

Re: phpbb3 technical issues
Strange indeed. When I go to your official stats: http://fah-web2.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/ma ... DavidCoton
I get:
http://fah-web2.stanford.edu/awards/cac ... 020934.jpg - certificate shows 19 million points
http://fah-web2.stanford.edu/awards/cac ... .19124.jpg - certificate shows 19 thousand workunits
Perhaps something like clearing your cache might help.
I did notice that your link has davidcoton and mine shows DavidCoton but it appears to be the same link otherwise.

Re: phpbb3 technical issues
Tried clearing the cache.
1) New access to certificate page still shows 0 points
2) My link above still shows zero points
3) Your link (AFAICT to the same page!) shows correctly
There's a nightmare for the bughunters.
Results seem to be the same in IE.
EDIT: Just read your last line, the capitalisation may be the issue -- navigation is not case sensitive but score lookup is, perhaps? Starting with the Capitalised form in the address makes it all work.

Re: phpbb3 technical issues
Can you confirm that you restarted your browser after clearing the cache? Also, did you go to the same official stats link that I used above?

Re: phpbb3 technical issues
See Edit above. It is the capitalisation that is the issue. However, my username on both F@H itself and this forum should be all lower case. The Capitalised form that produces the correct certificate is actually not correct!

Re: Certificate Problem
Agree that it's some kind of case issue. Hopefully this thread will help track down the problem. Thanks.

Re: Certificate Problem
I've checked a bit further. EOC and Kakao both show my username Capitalised, although I have the lower case form in the v7 FAHControl configuration. I think it's likely I first registered as DavidCoton, then I changed the form (possibly on switching PCs, or on a major reinstallation of F@H). Obviously FAHControl and the web servers can cope with the change, but the points/units lookup for the certificates can't.
So, for anyone else with this problem, as a quick fix, check the exact form of your username. Maybe the lookup can be made caseless sometime.
