jonault,
bruce,
Thanks, all cleaned-up with restart. Never saw this before. Before I did this my other slot completed and did the same thing.
Take care and Stay@Home in addition to Folding@Home

Re: two WUs in « Cleanup »
I'm sorry, there is a little mixup on my part.
The folding is done a Win7 PC, I'm running it just to fold. I'm monitoring from my Mac.
My original msg stands.

two WUs in « Cleanup »
I've been folding for 10+ years and never seen this before. I have two WUs in « Cleanup » Status shown in FAHControl (v7.5.1. OSX 10.13.6). 12:04:23:WU00:FS02:0x22:Completed 3960000 out of 4000000 steps (99%) 12:04:24:WU01:FS02:Connecting to assign-GPU.stanford.edu:80 12:04:24:WU01:FS02:News: 12:04:...

Time Machine
While CPU folding, Time Machine (MacOS backup software) ceases to backup automatically. I need to manualy initiate the backup for Time Machine to do it's thing. If I pause folding, Time Machine resumes automatic backups. Does anyone else experience this ? MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) MacO...

I switched my Win7 Client to client-type "advanced", WS worked OK.

Re: CPUs not getting WS Assignments
During the night, all three of my CPU clients successfully downloaded WUs without client-type attributes. This morning, I reinstated client-type for my Mac client. Upon finishing the WU, it failed to download a new WU. I soon noticed by the sound of the fan. I removed it and it connected to a differ...

Joe, thanks.
Removing client-type got the Mac, Win10 and Win7 CPU clients going.

I have been folding with two GPUs for many years. The second GPU has a "dummy plug" in it simulating a basic 480x640 screen.

Seeking advise on new AMD GPU
I am looking to upgrade my mid-range GPU. I currently have an AMD HD7790 that delivers about 35K PPD. I live in Québec and electricity in very cheep (and 99% renewable hydro). What is the difference PPD wise with 1) RX550 and RX560 ? 2) 2GB vs 4GB ? 3) Any other advise, I confess that I have at this...

Re: future core 17 WU?
I hate P8018, take bonus for that project for the new cards or do take anymore, only on 17 core :( P8018 wasted time of my videocard :( Every WU has to be folded. The fact it has no "bonus" does not mean it has less scientific value. Points are just points, they have no real value, what i...

Re: Some Fermi projects not yet re-benchmarked
The benchmark computer always gets the same PPD. Buy one like that if you can't understand why the PPD on different configs produce different PPD. I perfectly understand the benchmarking process, I simply dont have any faith in it. For me, it's part of folding. There are sometimes quite large varia...
