Re: New Gpu Stats

was able to install the driver for linux on the new graphics card, and it seem to crunch away happily; however, the card seem not much more efficient than the more basic Nvidia T400 it should replace; but according to the theoretical stats, it should be much more capable. so maybe the software is in...

AMD call for logs - does it apply?

Hello , just found this site here AMD calling for logs if not satisfied with performance of recent GPU and respective proejcts. https://github.com/ROCm/TheRock/issues/2591 wondering if this could apply also to fhe Folding Fah-Cleint proejct. Thanks (seen here) https://www.phoronix.com/news/AMD-Logs-...

Re: Ultimate AMD GPU Linux FAH Guide for OpenCL (FAH-Client v8 only)

thanks again, has been solved;

just forget to "reload" the loader as suggested in the updated guide;

it is now "supported". should i still remove the package as suggested and install ocl-icd-dev instead?

Re: Ultimate AMD GPU Linux FAH Guide for OpenCL (FAH-Client v8 only)

thanks , made a screenshot for you.

however, the system>ssd was "transplanted" from another computer initially.
(where it said "supported", probaly since it had a 7000series card).

Re: installed adguard Home - SBC no longer connect?

it seem the problem can be avoided by installing adguard first, and then fah-client; not very much knoweledgeable in networking; also had some issues with the softwae (dlna no longer connecting etc.) that can probbably be solved easily, but for the moment just uninstalled the software. please consid...

Re: New Gpu Stats

thanks, musicaqz, to me they donätä feel underpowered; would leave them on fold, however, sometimes have network issue/configuration issue; therefore need to reboot; don't put them on pause for the like; it might happen on its on; well, had tried once twice a benchmark and had them put on pause; you...

Re: New Gpu Stats

yeh, the GPU 7600 gets around 2,2 M PPD on Windows; it starts out sometimes with 200.000 and then seem to finish/or switch to the bigger number; just for reference, to document the oddities; the small SBC pine a64+ got normally around PPD with number 800-900; now , switched the router; and suddenly ...

Re: AMD RX480 8GB stuck in wait loop

can confirm that polaris rx550 can get work "PPD" but i am using it on windows 7 and did create a second group dedicated for the card "gfx804"; group 1 only cpu; group 2 only gpu; on linux it might be difficult since opencl being deprecated as being told here or elsewhere for pol...

Re: New Gpu Stats

thanks appepi, the gfx1102 should be the radeon 7600, it should be quite more capable than t400, so this whole theory PPD doesnt seem to make much sense for the moment.

will keep an eye to it and see if can make sense of oit after making the gpu switch;

Re: New Gpu Stats

am referring to the PPD number that is shown in webview-homeclient https://ibb.co/gM1WKj2N in this example , the "server" gets PPD of around 2.200; which is comparable to the PPD (not shown here) of 980 that another SBC received; which is around 1/3 cpu strength, which account probably to ...

Re: Have upgraded my GPU to a Fatboy - now what?

would also be interested in building client for non-system-d linux;

have tried with these instruction here

https://github.com/FoldingAtHome/fah-client-bastet

(simple omitting installing reqirement "libsystemd-dev" :? )

but after compile, it still would require "systemctl".

Re: New Gpu Stats

alright,

it seem can indicate along the "PPD" number;

if the actual grpahics card gets number "194.000" and the newer card gets higher number, it should say that the new card is more apt at folding?
