Re: installed adguard Home - SBC no longer connect?
I have found that anytime I enable or disable my VPN I need to stop & restart the client, otherwise it will eventually get hung up in a similar fashion and unable to download a new WU.

Re: Not sure the client's running
I have had no issues installing & running the 8.5.4 beta client on my Mac running Mac OS 26. If you haven't already tried deleting the entire /Library/ApplicationSupport/FAHClient folder & all its contents, that would be my next suggestion. You'll have to set the client up again from scratch...

Re: Not sure the client's running
One thing that's different - I don't see that message about "deferred event: domain spawn response"; instead a couple lines down I see "job state = running". I did have a work unit already in progress that I stopped & restarted, though, so maybe that would explain the differe...

Re: Not sure the client's running
I see that same notice about xpcproxy in launchd.log when fahclient starts. It's definitely part of MacOS, in /usr/libexec.

Re: Not sure the client's running
Does /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.foldingathome.fahclient.plist exist? Without this, the client's not going to start up automatically.

I don't think it's possible for you to change your username on the forum by yourself. The moderators might be able to change it for you, I don't know.

Re: Not sure the client's running
With the ps command, you should see an "fah-client" process, and if folding is actively occurring there should also be a process with "FahCore" in the name. 499 48932 1 0 4:16PM ?? 0:00.24 /usr/local/bin/fah-client 499 48937 48932 0 4:16PM ?? 28:44.32 /Library/Application Support...

Re: Not sure the client's running
You will want to make sure to have one of the approved browsers when installing the client. But I find that Safari works just fine for monitoring and controlling the client once it's installed.

Re: Restarted Folding
When logged into the client web page (https://v8-4.foldingathome.org/machines) you should see a pause button for each of your folding computers as well as an overall pause button. When you press any of those it will ask if you want to finish the current work unit(s) before pausing.

Re: Just installed a GTX 1650..... low PPD?
I'll second arisu's recommendation to pause CPU folding to see if that improves things; personally I only set aside 1 CPU core for each GPU. I'm not sure how many points exactly to expect from a 1650; my 1660 super is currently running around 1.4-1.5 million PPD; I would certainly expect a 1650 to d...

Computers no longer seeing each other
Is 8.4 not compatible with 8.3? The 8.4 client running on my Mac (using Firefox) isn't seeing either of my Windows computers running 8.3. The reverse is also true, the 8.3 computer in my office isn't seeing the 8.4 Mac sitting next to it. I'll get around to upgrading the Windows machines at some poi...

Forum section for v8 Public Release
Now that v8.3.18 is no longer in beta but is the officially released version that new users are being told to install, would it be time to create a v8 Public Release section of the forum? (I personally had no idea that v8.3 was out of beta until a week or two ago; if there was an announcement I miss...

Re: 8.3.5 - Mac cannot get Windows status
This has been going on for several days, it wasn't just a momentary disconnect. But rebooting my Windows machine cleared it up. I don't know why I didn't think to try that. Thanks!

8.3.5 - Mac cannot get Windows status
I have two computers running 8.3.5, one Windows 11 and the other an M1 Mac (Sonoma 14.4.1); both machines running the current Firefox (125.0.2). Both computers are listed in Account Settings on both machines. Both machines are on the same LAN (192.168.0.x). The Windows computer can see the Mac &...

Re: 8.3.5 versus 7.6
Are there GPU cores for Apple Silicon now, or is Mac folding still CPU only?
