Re: Separate accounts
And yes, I suppose that would require setting up a new account.

Re: Separate accounts
If you want to fold for two teams simultaneously, I think you need to have two computers. There's one team setting that applies to the entire client, so there doesn't appear to be a way to set up 1 client with two groups that each have a different team. So you'd have to have two completely separate ...

Re: CPU folding without losing GPU PPD (a quick guide)
I replaced Windows with Linux on my dedicated folding PC this weekend. I changed the setup just now to move the CPU cores to their own group, hopefully that will give an extra boost beyond the OS swap.

Re: Set folding to run at specific hours/days
There's nothing built into the client that does that. I think you could use automation features built into your OS together with command line commands to pause & resume folding on a schedule, but I haven't attempted it myself.

Re: Uploading a finished Unit will dump unfinhised unit
Doesn't this happen when a single resources group has both CPUs and GPU assigned so it tries to run both CPU and GPU at the same time ? I have a PC with the GPU and CPU in a single resource group running both CPU and GPU WUs and it's not dumping (well, one WU in the last 6 weeks or so). It's still ...

Re: installed adguard Home - SBC no longer connect?
I have found that anytime I enable or disable my VPN I need to stop & restart the client, otherwise it will eventually get hung up in a similar fashion and unable to download a new WU.

Re: Not sure the client's running
I have had no issues installing & running the 8.5.4 beta client on my Mac running Mac OS 26. If you haven't already tried deleting the entire /Library/ApplicationSupport/FAHClient folder & all its contents, that would be my next suggestion. You'll have to set the client up again from scratch...

Re: Not sure the client's running
One thing that's different - I don't see that message about "deferred event: domain spawn response"; instead a couple lines down I see "job state = running". I did have a work unit already in progress that I stopped & restarted, though, so maybe that would explain the differe...

Re: Not sure the client's running
I see that same notice about xpcproxy in launchd.log when fahclient starts. It's definitely part of MacOS, in /usr/libexec.

Re: Not sure the client's running
Does /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.foldingathome.fahclient.plist exist? Without this, the client's not going to start up automatically.

I don't think it's possible for you to change your username on the forum by yourself. The moderators might be able to change it for you, I don't know.

Re: Not sure the client's running
With the ps command, you should see an "fah-client" process, and if folding is actively occurring there should also be a process with "FahCore" in the name. 499 48932 1 0 4:16PM ?? 0:00.24 /usr/local/bin/fah-client 499 48937 48932 0 4:16PM ?? 28:44.32 /Library/Application Support...

Re: Not sure the client's running
You will want to make sure to have one of the approved browsers when installing the client. But I find that Safari works just fine for monitoring and controlling the client once it's installed.

Re: Restarted Folding
When logged into the client web page (https://v8-4.foldingathome.org/machines) you should see a pause button for each of your folding computers as well as an overall pause button. When you press any of those it will ask if you want to finish the current work unit(s) before pausing.
