Re: canot abort unit
Expert CLI command (WARNING: this will dump ALL active work units and report them as dumped to the collection servers - all progress will be permanently lost): systemctl stop FAHClient.service FAHClient --config=/etc/fahclient/config.xml --dump all This is for Linux. I am not sure what the equivalen...

Re: Task jumps to 70% immediately
Could FAH please continue in the same state after a restart? It does, if "pause-on-start" is disabled. Normally, when you pause a slot before shutting down, that slot will remain paused the next time you start the computer. If a slot is running when you shut down, then it will immediately...

Re: OpenCL not starting on AMD iGPU
I am running `rocm-opencl4.1.0` directly without the AMDGPU-Pro drivers (CentOS 8.3). Not sure if that version will be stable with your kernel, but, if you decide to try it, here are the relevant CentOS packages I have installed: * comgr4.1.0.x86_64 * hsa-rocr-dev4.1.0.x86_64 * hsakmt-roct.x86_64 * ...

Re: Can someone give this a look?
If you are going to edit the config file, be sure to shut down the service first (don't just pause it, but shut it down, e.g. systemctl stop FAHClient.service) because the running client sometimes overwrites the file with whatever it has in memory.

Re: Failed to create OpenCL context
To elaborate, " 19:17:30:WU02:FS01:0x22:No compatible OpenCL platform is available " indicates that your drivers do not include the OpenCL component needed by F@H. The AMD video drivers provided by Microsoft through Windows Update will allow your GPU to render to a display, but they do not...

Re: Ubuntu PPD half of Win10 PPD?
To get OpenCL-only on CentOS, I set up the ROCm repository and explicitly installed `rock-dkms` and `rocm-opencl-devel4.1.0`. I also installed `rocminfo4.1.0`, since it often behaves a bit differently than `clinfo`. You may also have to create some symlinks and run `ldconfig`: sudo ln -s /opt/rocm-4...

Re: Ubuntu PPD half of Win10 PPD?
My experience with AMD OpenCL folding on Linux has been that, performance changes drastically with each release of the driver. Some minor updates completely broke GPU folding for me and I had to roll back. I eventually settled on ROCm 4.1.0 (OpenCL-only install) and locked to that version. It has be...

Re: Does folding restart when finished?
Normally, it will restart automatically. There are a couple of exceptions First, if there are no work units available, which has been happening a lot recently, then the client will wait before trying to get more work. If there is still nothing available, it will wait even longer before it tries agai...

Re: What's the benefit of joining a team?
Welcome to F@H, vitsensei. The main benefit is camaraderie. I joined the team that introduced me to Folding@home and have stayed with them through all of my work units. Others join teams that support good causes, or that represent something in which they believe. Teams are a way to get keep donors i...

Re: Configuration issue -- Connection lost
Did you update both FAHClient and FAHControl? Newer versions of FAH have split those into separate install packages on Linux. I recommend explicitly uninstalling the old version before installing the new version, rather than trying to upgrade. Also, the new client may require that the `proxy` parame...

Re: Project 17435 (Run 0, Clone 172, Gen 111) Stalled Before
It seems you are running a rather unconventional setup, so for that reason the amount of help people might be able to provide is likely limited. A Threadripper with dual Vega 64 running CentOS is hardly unconventional for a folding system. I just want to track down the cause of the problem my syste...
