Re: p18245, slow?

The 3400G has a total of 20 PCIe lanes, but only 16 available externally. So if the M.2 is using 4, that leaves only 12. So at most there are 12 available for the GPU unless your mini-ITX board include an additional chip to provide additional lanes. I thought I was on to something just a few minute...

Unfortunately my BIOS settings (Gigabyte's UEFI) only allow me to change the Gen, not the lanes themselves. I did try going from Auto to Gen 3 but no difference.

Re: p18245, slow?

Take a look at your MB manual and specifics of PCIe lanes available on which slots. The G series Ryzens use PCIe lanes for the onboard graphics, then some for NVMe, and others for the slots. Due to this often only one PCI slot gets the greater bandwidth for a decent GPU. That should be the vast maj...

Re: p18245, slow?

Click on the question mark on that GPU Z window to load the GPU and then see what pcie speed is running. If the screenshot was taken when GPU is already loaded with folding, then you have an issue without pcie mode. It shows X1, and that is too slow even with pcie5 gen Yes you're absolutely right, ...

Re: p18245, slow?

I would look at clocks, and people are bumping them fairly substantially in many cases. I have a 2400G, 16G memory, and a 5060ti on Win10. Same PCIE 3.0 x 8. Though the bus interface load will show near or at 100% average when overclocked, it will leave a few percent at stock clocks. This is with h...

Re: p18245, slow?

Bus interface load at 100% ... it's probably the bottleneck. I think 5060 only support 8x speed ... so with a PCIe 3.0, it's probably not enough. :( Can you post a screen shot of the Graphics card tab ? https://www.image2url.com/r2/default/images/1779811906854-5194bb1a-8384-430f-ac00-3ef02174d269.p...

Re: p18245, slow?

Board power is dependent on the GPU load and utilisation. If CPU is unable to feed the GPU quick enough, GPU is underutilised, GPU power as well as board power drop Plus this being an AM4 PCIe 3 gen mobo, all makes sense now, I just didn't anticipate it being that sensitive. At least I know it's ac...

Re: p18245, slow?

A new build from scratch is already planned out.... for when memory prices at least halve! But the Board Power Draw is OK fluctuating like that? I would rather the card uses more power to begin with, THEN I reduce the power (in Nvidia App). Then again the GPU clock speed looks fine in the 2700's, an...

Re: p18245, slow?

Latest p18245 I saw on my 5060 are in the 5.1-5.5 MPPD range, but these systems are running Linux. You might be CPU limited ... :? RTX 5000 GPUs like latest generation CPU with big single core turbo. Interesting. Well the clock speed of the 3400G is at 3.7GHz. I have attached here the CPU/GPU numbe...

Re: p18245, slow?

Apologies for hijacking, but this is interesting to me. I just installed an RTX 5060 yesterday evening. I've seen people say the average PPD is 6mil, but so far i've only been folding p18245, and my PPD has stayed around 4mil, TPF around 1min 50. The clock speed is fine, runs VRel as well, but watt...

1.5 BILLION PPD.... One user

I fold with Team Atto now with my piddly GTX 1650. About 600,000 PPD. I thought i'd have a look at the team numbers. Looks like a couple of users have invested their entire lives savings into renting GPU's in the cloud. I say GPU's. More like, they rented a supercomputer. https://folding.extremeover...

https://scorpuk.co.uk/.images/5000-series.png Average PPD's from Folding.LAR.Systems Running cost for 5090 taken from metered computer over a day and averaged out. I'm presuming no diff in PPD between 8GB and 16GB! DOH - Cant believe I missed the info on 5060Ti above. Just need costs now :D ...

Re: New GPUs RTX 5000 series

RTX 5060 Ti seems to be running well getting between 7.5 and 8.5 MPPD Card using around 170W as measured by HWiNFO Card temp runs around 75C Thanks for that, i've been eyeing that card as possibly the one to get when I do a brand new build later this year. Good performance for the money then (as lo...
