Re: Folding on different generation cards at the same time

I am suprised there are any WUs for a card as old as the 9500GT, Core_11 was designed for that generation. (Tesla) No projects have used a Core_11 WUs in 2 years. Some have reported tricking Tesla GPUs into running Core_15 WUs (Core_15 is EOL but there are still some projects using it) using a conf...

Yea Ive only just managed to get them to work. They are folding yes except i can't access the 9500GT sensors nor overlock it.

Re: Folding on different generation cards at the same time

Initial estimate for ETA and PPD will be off, especially if the installation is fresh and a WU from that project has not been processed before. After completing a few percent, the estimate should settle down to being more accurate. Ahh ok well you seem to be right as right now it goes down to 13 da...

Re: Folding on different generation cards at the same time

Go to the NVidia driver site and see what they recommend. They may (or may not) have drivers that support both. Please post the information described below. I tried to find and it seems they don't have any for windows 10? I tried installing the old 9500 GT drivers first while disabling the GT 630 t...

Re: GPUs stuck on READY

FYI for future note, the 9500 GT is running great right now with the 750, both are folding well. Running latest driver right now, 353.06. The 9500 is running 0x15 on "beta" setting, and 750 is getting 0x17, no problem. The 9500 today is running 33K PPD, though it did take several hours be...

Folding on different generation cards at the same time

So I've been folding on a single GT 630 on my downloads server all this time but I just got a 9500 GT for free and would like to use it until it's dead. But the problem is the drivers for the GT 630 on windows 10 doesn't seem to support the 9500 GT and the 9500 GT drivers on windows 10 doesn't suppo...

Re: What's a good cheap GPU that's worth folding on

Hmm I guess those are good choices thanks. And you can run cards on PCI-E 1x slots right? I'm using this Asus P8H61M-LX R2.0 board that has 1 PCI-E 16x slot and 3 other PCI-E 1x slot. I'd probably mod it so it has an open end and stick them all with 1-slot cards :P You'd probably be fine with the d...

Re: What's a good cheap GPU that's worth folding on

I still like the GTX 970; makes around 270kPPD (Linux) depend on projects and what else is running. Else 750 Ti also sounds good. Keep an eye on running cost, too. Plus cooling. Yea I don't really need a powerful card, just one that's cheap and consume little power that I can run 24/7. So yea a 750...

Re: What's a good cheap GPU that's worth folding on

If GT 630 is Kepler with 384 cuda cores, you can fold. PPD will be around 12-16k. GT 630 with 96 cuda cores are very slow. As above said davidcoton , 750 Ti is a good card for folding. 65-75k with current projects. I don't need the PPD to be very high, I want at least a few thousand PPD and I'm hap...

Re: What's a good cheap GPU that's worth folding on

None of the above -- WUs for them are announced as end of life (there may be some exceptions, but old cards would be short term, inefficient, and comparatively low scoring). Go for an nVidia, preferably a Ti version, to suit your budget. From personal experience the 780Ti performs well, but is big ...

What's a good cheap GPU that's worth folding on

Hi, I've been folding on my own computers for some time now, but I've just set up a dedicated minecraft server so I thought I might as well stick a GPU in it for folding. But the problem is I don't know what cheap GPUs are really worth folding on (read: efficient enough and high PPD to be worth it)....

Reset password always fail

So I tried to reset my password because I forgot them ofc, but I keep getting "Password Reset Failed" and nothing else, no description of what made it fail. If I mistyped my account name or my email I would get the writing something something does not match on our database right? So why is...
