Kaspersky denying F@H client to run.

Post by solorize »

Hi,

I recently installaed Kaspersky Internet Security
and now I am having a problem getting the Foling Client to run?

Kaspersky keeps on denying the client to run and I am not
sure on which setting I need to adjust to get it to run sucessfully.

If anyone can shed any light on this I would be greatfull, as I don't
want to just start changing setting in Kaspersky and start making
my pc unsecure.

Regards

You should put en exception on the FAH folder (and/or program) to exclude it from security checks (you know FAH is safe to run ;)).

If you want to just remove security for the F@H folder only, while still leaving the rest of your computer protected by Kaspersky, do this...

Main window | Settings | Threats and Exclusions | Trusted Zone | Add

Then add the path to the folding@home folder and you should find it works without disturbing the rest of your computer's protection :)
