Other than the error showing up, it worked fine for me on V7. I just haven't had any of them since November.
Fold them if you get them!

Re: Weird "exception: bad allocation" behaviour
So, some projects aren't being issued to v7 clients?
Will this mean that eventually there won't being any projects, perhaps just for newer GPUs, for v7 clients?

Eventually, yes. But it will not going to be forceful, but only because of natural v7 breaking up bit by bit due to not being supported.Schrödinger's cat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 10:42 amSo, some projects aren't being issued to v7 clients?

At the moment whatever projects are not running on v7, that is because of some bug (can't remember exact reason). More and more of internal folders are moving to v8, so naturally v7 will get left out

So, that might be the reason why I keep getting mostly the same projects (18260-3 & 16773-5)?

No, that is because those are the only projects available majority of the timeSchrödinger's cat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 31, 2025 11:09 amSo, that might be the reason why I keep getting mostly the same projects (18260-3 & 16773-5)?

And if recently just from those groups of GPU projects that could be partly because one of the Work Servers with GPU WUs is offline for the holiday period. That server should be back online next week, I don't recall which projects came from there. They may or may not be appropriate to be assigned to your GPU.
