Hi there!!
I installed the 8.3.18 client and started it up - I see the icon in the tray, and it says "Folding active". My computer CPU is at 94%, vs 5-15% when I pause the client.
When I go to the page https://v8-3.foldingathome.org/machines it says "No folding machines found. Login or install the Folding@home client software."
On the page https://v8-3.foldingathome.org/account there's an active "Logout" button, indicating (I believe!) that I'm logged in. In any case, I tried logging out and logging in again, and quitting then restarting the client. No change
The Client Guide /CONNECTING MACHINES TO YOUR ACCOUNT says I should be able to manually connect machines to my account:
"Manually connecting machines may be necessary if the local machine is already connected to another account. You can change its connection using the link icon in the Account Settings."
However, my Account Settings page has no such icon.
I also checked to see if I have a config.xml associated with F@H, in case I might be able to "... pass the account token using the account-token configuration option in the config.xml configuration file ...", as shown in The Client Guide /MANUALLY CONNECTING MACHINES. However, I can find no such file.
I assume that I must be doing something wrong that is stupidly obvious, but I don't know what. I'm out of ideas.
Any suggestions?
TIA!

If you are using Brave browser, you need to use “Shields Down” for the web control site.

Not obvious, unfortunately. I’ve known this for months, yet still get surprised occasionally during testing. I asked Joseph to add a note to web control.

The reason I said I should have thought of that is that I had a problem with another web site that was solved by lowering shields, so it should have occurred to me to check.
Anyway, thanks for the quick reply.
