Hi,

I, and others, have had several instances of work units assigned where "The owner has not added the description for the project.". This does not inspire me to fold, or provide my resources to F@H.

My GPU is currently working on project 12442, which at the time of writing (2023-11-28T09:17Z) gives the "The owner has not added the description for the project." message, which does not reflect well on the owner.

Can it not be made a requirement that the project owner provides a description for every project that is submitted?

I'm considering dumping work units where there's no description. If that is considered bad form (worse than not providing a description?) then I may just stop folding. I appreciate that that wouldn't be a great loss to the F@H.

Hi,

You are right, projects appearing without description seems to happen more and more compared to a couple years ago, and that's not a way to keep people involved. Entering a project (even in the beta stage) should require a description full stop. If the new project is a continuation from a previous one, a redirect would work as well.

Well, the owner can find someone else to do their work for them, then.
How do we make the people who determine which projects are accepted, or the criteria for accepting projects, aware of this?
