Suggestion: add option to pause one slot only

Currently I can only pause an entire computer in the web control. People may want to pause GPU work only, to play a game etc. Or only pause the GPU the game will be played on in a multiple GPU system.

There are no slots in v8.
You can use Resource Groups.

I've used the wrong terminology (you changed the name for no reason), but my point still stands. There is a CPU task and 2 GPU tasks running on a computer for example. I want to pause just one GPU task.

It’s not just terminology. Slots and Resource Groups are not the same.

Anyway, what you want can be done with Resource Groups. Please try them.

I guess I could put every single GPU or CPU into it's own resource group, but it's a lot of effort I shouldn't have to expend.

I requested it in here. Why should I have to go to github too?

Because the lead developer almost never is on this forum.

If you put your request on github, developers will see it and it won’t get lost.

This forum, to me, is mainly a place for volunteers to try to help others with the software.

If you’re asking to pause work units, you should say exactly that instead of saying slots. You are talking to very literal developers.
