Ah, forgot to check AVX and SSE support. The i5-5250M does have AVX, so although they have similar benchmark scores for regular instructions, it makes sense that the 4417U would be slower. I am having issues with this work order also. It did exactly like you said. If you could provide information on exactly what you did, as the advice given a year ago to the poster you quoted was for a much different processor. So,after all being well since my last post I have just received WU 18810 that I have absolutely no chance of completing in time. Is there any way to bale from these WU's and use my laptop for something useful?

To do that, pause the work unit, note the ID of the appropriate slot (if you have more than one) and close the client if wanted.
Go to start menu
Folding@home
Data Directory
Work
Once there, delete the folder that is the same as the work ID in your Work Queue. Then restart F@H and you should pick up another work unit.
Have you tried setting your threads down to 2 yet as suggested earlier in this thread? Though F@H allows dumping of work units it is highly suggested to either reconfigure to allow assignments that will finish, or if needed to quit folding on that hardware if it struggles to meet deadlines on a regular basis.
Fold them if you get them!

Hopefully going to 2 threads might help you get lower priority or less intensive work units that give you enough time to complete. If it doesn't help with deadlines, then chances are likely that the hardware on that machine is nearing end of life for use folding. But you could still get some use out of it if you're creative.
