On the other hand, I get around 100K PPD from using 4 CPU threads on my i7-7700K CPU at stock clocks. The Vega 8 does perform fairly well, for an iGPU.

The stock graphics clock on the 5700G is 2000Mhz, and it supports quicker memory standards. Him getting in the 80k range doesn't surprise me at all.

The G series Ryzen chips do take a hit when folding on both CPU and GPU. Probably due to the way they use memory. On mine I've found that it's very inconsistent, and varies with the types of work units being folded. Occasionally folding on both CPU and GPU provides only a small increase in PPD total (10-15%) and often the GPU slot takes the points hit.

But on GPU alone, they don't use much power, and actually get up in the PPD/watt of say a GTX 1650 range. Right now folding on GPU only, I'm pulling about 83K on my 2400G with stock clocks and HWmonitor is reporting less than 13 watts of package power.

They keep bumping the clocks higher and higher on the Vega 8, and it's amazing what they are getting out of them in terms of efficiency. I've wondered why they kind of let the Vega 11 go, but now they are dealing with 6, 7, and 8 core GPU's running at higher clock speeds.
Fold them if you get them!

I've been trying to get my 5600G (GPU part) to fold under Windows. But I get errors saying there is no OpenCL for the graphics card. I've installed the drivers and everything. Any idea what could be wrong?
