Linux Version V7.6.21 ignores config.xml

Hello,

I´m running client Version V7.6.21 (fahclient-7.6.21-1.x86_64.rpm) on CentOS 8.4 Server. After installing the client, it start immediately computation (FahCore_8). I used /etc/farclient.config.xml but the system ignores the setting and
does everthing as "anonymous".

I tryed to install FAHcontroll in Version 7.6.21, but very thing t tested the WU are done as anonymous.

Anyway I have a few more questions.

1.) After reboot the FAHwrapper starts immediately compute WUs. How can I pause/stop this process? Kill FahCore_8 or wrapper does not work. It restart directly.
2.) running /etc/init.d FAHClient start seems to work, but the error message .....database logged..... will not run this process.

What I´m doing wrong?

"/etc/farclient.config.xml" is wrong

it should be "/etc/fahclient/config.xml"
if that doesn't work try the config file located at /var/lib/fahclient/config.xml

it also includes a dump of one of my configs which has the "pause-on-start" setting

Don't forget to restart the client (or the whole system) after you edit the config.xml file ...

/var/lib/fahclient/config.xml was working!
