can't connect from work

Post by simonvilleneuve »

Hi,

I can't connect to the client at my work, only at home. I think it's because when I installed FAH, I selected connect only to private network.

I can't find how to correct that in the options of the advanced or web views.

Hello

Maybe in Windows. :)
https://pureinfotech.com/allow-apps-fir ... indows-10/
Open Windows Security.
Click on Firewall & network protection.
Click the Allow an app through firewall link. ...
Click the Change settings button.
Check the app or feature you want to allow through the firewall on Windows 10.
Check on which type of networks an app can access the network: Private, Public
Click the OK button.

Hey, thank you for this answer! I've done that too, but nothing's change. I've screenshot it. How I can put an image here?

Please see this topic - viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17794 - with tips on troubleshooting connections.

My guess would be that at work you are behind a firewall that does not allow non-recognized software to make HTTP(s) connections to download and upload. The firewall would allow recognized browsers such as IE, Edge, Firefox, Safari and so on to make these types of connections over ports 80 and 8080. If this is the case, work IT staff would need to add an exception for the FAHClient part of the F@h client to access the internet and transfer files.

That brings up the Terms of Use for the F@h software. It includes that if you are running on work equipment that you should have written permission. Many companies would include the use of their network as work equipment.

... and the PC on your desk probably isn't one you brought from home. The company's IS folks probably have a policy that you should follow.
