Generally speaking, VHD are used to store the information for a virtual machine. Since you're not running any virtual machines, I wonder if you're dual booting your system with a different OS (https://medium.com/tech-jobs-academy/ho ... 5394a751cf).

Would it be possible for you to post a fresh set of the log file including the initial 100 lines so we can see what's happening?
