Well, according to your list in the other thread the Radeon RX 470/480/570/580/590 is technically more Species 5, since all but the RX 470 is above 5 TFLOPS, while the RX 470 is 4.9, so maybe you have to split this even more in the GPUs.txt, if the difference can be detected.

Apparently AMDSpecies 5 cannot be changed to Species 4 because the Assignment Server refuses to assign AMDspecies 4 to any work server. I don't know when that rule was adopted.

The difference cannot be detected. AMD identifies all those GPUs as the same device. :(

Out of curiousity, where/how does fahclient get the gpu info from? CLinfo (linux) lists both the Device name as 'Ellesmere', but also Device Board Name (AMD) as 'AMD Radeon (TM) RX 470 Graphics' a few lines down - which is correct in my instance.

FAHClient makes its matches based on just the device ID. The text field in GPUs.txt is based on the original reports of the GPU, either from people who have extracted the data from drivers or run lspci on their system to request their GPU be added.

everything that I changed to species 4 has been set back to 5 so I expect this problem is solved. Joseph will have to change something so species 4 doesn't get redirected to 192.0.2.1 (i.e. nowhere)
