My sister has a Radeon 8450G video card in her laptop on Windows 10. Is that video card supported in 7.6.9, and if so, how would I get it to show up (I've tried adding a slot manually, but it doesn't seem to stick)?
Thanks!
Is the Radeon HD 8450G on Windows 10 supported?

Yes, the Trinity [Radeon HD 8450G] is supported on WIndows or Linux.

Thanks for writing back. I eventually had to manually inject the GPU configuration into the XML, but it did recognize the slot (the Configure button no longer works in FAHControl though, but when was I ever afraid of XML?).
So far the GPU has handed back two work units with "No compatible OpenCL platform is available" on version 0.0.5 of Core22. I'm going to let the laptop vege overnight and see if it can actually get the GPU going; if not, I'll post the log.
Since the GPU can't run as a service, is it possible to have a service running with one of CPU cores (the laptop has a whopping two cores) and then a separate configuration to run on user login for the GPU?
Thanks!

If the HD 8450G is this one - https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/r ... -igp.c2187 - as part of an APU, then no, as it does not list support for Double Precision (FP64). Even the desktop HD 8450 card did not support DP, in the desktop series that shows up in the HD 8500 and above.

If it is supported and you get it working I would make sure the vents and heatsinks are clear of dust and monitor the tempertures thoroughly. I wouldn't recommend folding on any laptop because the cooling really isn't that great especially for long periods of time.
Do you even fold bro?

I also suspect that the video card drivers no longer support OpenCL.
