FAH Control 7.6.9 Won't Start On Fedora 31 After Upgrade

Not sure how I can troubleshoot this. FAHClient runs fine and is folding, however when I click to launch FAHControl, nothing happens.

I upgraded via sudo dnf install fahcontrol-7.6.9-1.noarch.rpm
I then removed via sudo dnf remove fahcontrol
Then installed again via first command.

Still will not start. Are there logs for FAHControl somewhere?

Please note that looking at your configuration, I noticed few items:
1) You have a supported GPU, GTX 1060, which you can fold on. However, do to do, you must install the vendor (Nvidia) drivers and potentially some OpenCL dependencies too.
2) You have 2 CPU Slots; 16 CPUs and 8 CPUs. You can combine them into 1 CPU Slot with 24 CPUs. That may result in a higher PPD and also, faster science being done.

1) I don't fold on GPU because it isn't stable. Not sure if it is the drivers or the card but WU keep failing. I plan to upgrade the card soon to AMD and will fold when I do that.
2) I created this thread here regarding that: viewtopic.php?f=106&t=34334 do you still think a 1 24 CPU would be better?

Any ideas on what is wrong with FAHControl or how else I can troubleshoot?

I would suggest that you experiment with 24 CPUs and see how the performance is compared to 16+8. Personally, I would keep 24 CPUs as it ensures that I get the quickest amount of science done and hopefully same if not more PPD when compared to 16+8.

Do note that when you're transcoding, 16+8 would mean that you would slow down 2 WUs as opposed to 24 which means a single WU.

Unfortunately, I am not proficient to help you out with *unix systems However, there are members here who are and hopefully, can sort your issue out
