Only 1 Active cpu?

Post by Bikerz »

When i go onto folding site and put in my name it says I only have 1 active CPU. Yet I fold on:

Old athlon pc - 1 client
My PC - 1 SMP client & 1 GPU client
My PS3

So surely that should bet 4 active cpu's? Should I be worried?

Check your client configurations ... you might have written your username/teamnumber wrong on some clients (be careful, it's case sensitive)

Only your PS3 and GPU clients are submitting WUs. Nothing from your AMD machine, or the SMP client.

It's possible your smp client isn't uploading because of:

Use IE connection settings: Yes

Try changing it to No by running the client with the -configonly option.

Someone said this already but never told me how to run the configonly option?

Copy your current shortcut used to start FAH and then edit the copied one by right-clicking on it and selecting properties.

Append -configonly to the command line. Click on apply and okay.

With your FAH client stopped, double click on the new shortcut. Most options you can just press enter and they will remain as they are but when you get to Use IE Settings type No.

Your GPU client is V6 and I'm assuming your SMP client is v5. I'm not sure about the others. Here is a WIKI article about flags and at the very bottom it has references for the Console and the GUI client. It works for all V5 clients but needs some information added for the V6 clients.
Wiki "switches" can be applied to -configonly.

He knew that because under his name "ChelseaOilman" you see the words ChelseaOilman "Site Moderator " They have some tools that us mere mortals don't get to see. It helps them help us with problems like this without bothering the Pande Group.

If you post the Fahlog.txt from your AMD we may be able to help you with that one, too.

Cheers

Yeah it was 1 only just changed to 2. Was working for over 24 hours before updated to 2 processors which seemed weird to me but maybe because it was the 1st few WU they had done. Going to try and sort my SMP system now, but I feel ive lost the 2 WU I tryed to send.grrrrr
