So, I want to make it clear that I'm not complaining. As I see it the points are just for fun and I only dug into this as a way to distract from the case law I'm supposed to be reading . I'm just curious about this because it seems weird imho. My CPU has been working on a WU for PRCG 13821 (169, 2, 83) for about 2.5 days now. The WU seems to be massive as the deadline timeout is 5 days, but the base credit and the k-factor (if my math is correct) seem really low for something so big. The base credit as seen below in the img (or url if I can't get the img to work) is 900 and I worked out the k-factor to be about 0.54 as opposed to the standard 0.75. It seems that CPU based WU give less credit anyway, but I've gotten more credit for WU that I blew through in an hour or less. Also, I'm running a Ryzen 7 3800X. So, not the fastest, but still well above average and I've only missed maybe 12 hours of work time on this due to letting the system rest for a bit when temps got over 90C. I'm no rocket doctor so if anyone can let me know what the reasoning is for a big WU worth about 200 PPD I'm super curious. https://imgur.com/a/1qJ5lPm

Yeah, that total step count is high, if I recall right it should be 125,000. If you want, the WU can be dumped. Or you can let it complete if that will happen before the Timeout. Points will be low but the results should still be usable.
The researcher running that project has fixed the settings for creating new WUs, but could not find and delete all of the rogue ones.

No worries, I'll just let it run. I should be able to complete it before timeout, and if the results are usable that is more important. But thanks for taking the time to check it out for me.

I got another one from 13821 (846, 1, 83) assigned to me a few hours back it seems and seems to have a similar issue. In my case it's telling me ETA is 7.84 days and timeout is around the same time. I'm a little new to this stuff but how does one dump the WU?
Yes, this is really low since the number to total steps is many times normal for this project.
To dump WU, first pause folding. Since you are on OS X, go to the folder /Library/Application Support/FAHClient/. Inside that folder open the folder named 'work', and move the folder named '00' to the trash. You may be prompted for an admin password, I forget which files in this folder are protected by being owned by a different user. Then you can start up the client, it will do cleanup after detecting the work files are gone. Then it should request a new WU.
