Total newbie, installation on Linux 32 bit

Post by yep »

Hello,

I have installed the fahcontrol_7.5.1-1_all.deb package from the website for a Lenovo ThinkPad X200s running 32-bit LinuxLite. Does this download contain everything I need to start as I noticed the 64-bit downloads have fahclient and fahviewer as well.

Thank You.

You need the FAHClient component as well. The FAHControl package is simply a graphical front-end for controlling FAHClient. FAHViewer is a 3D protein viewer.

It seems there is an older 7.4.4 32-Bit version

Well ... it's ... just old ...

Although the clients can be 32 bits (it's the case of Windows one), the compute cores require 64 bits CPU and OS.
