AMD GPU RX470 does not show any progress

Hello,

I just joined FAH and installed it on my personal workstation. This is yet working on the CPU but not on the GPU. I put the logs here in a gist. Unfortunately, I am not yet allowed to post URLs.

As far as understand things, there is already a job assigned to the GPU but the GOU seems unaffected by this. Checking load on radeontop does show that the graphics card is mostly idle.

Am I missing anything relevant here or why can I not start the GPU computing?

The "No WUs available for this configuration" error is common at the moment. The servers are slammed due to the overwhelming number of new users, which have exhausted most of the workunits in the queue. The research teams are working swiftly to set up new servers and get more projects into the queue. I'd recommend keeping everything running as the GPU should pick up work when it's available.

You are referring to FS00, which in turn is my CPU slot. There was some successful work done, no problem here.

The problem is FS01. I try to add the gist link once more. Her is a screenshot of the current process:

You see that the GPU has in fact a WU associated. It is running. But it did not make any progress and the GPU also has no load. So I assume it is simply not firing up correctly the job.

You can also post your log here. But first, change the logging verbosity back to the default value of 3, the extra messages in the log are not providing any useful information for troubleshooting your system.

Briefly, I did spot one possible problem with your installation of OpenCL support, but could not tell because of the extra verbosity.

I recently had a GPU work unit startup but never made any progress. This was on Windows and FahCore_22.exe could not be killed via Task Manager. The work unit successfully began processing after a reboot and ran to completion.

Since you're running Linux, try restarting the FAHclient service and see if it progresses to 1% within ~10 minutes.

A side remark: I have to kill the process manually in order to stop it. Normal termination is not working.
