Stats Server Down
All of my 6 clients are folding and submitting completed WUs but the last WU from the stats is:
Date of last Work Unit 2018-08-23 18:30:21
I’m on EST so not certain if the time stamp is eastern or Pacific but no points updated at 12:00 or 03:00
It looks like the Stats Server is down

Re: Stats Server Down
Thank you for your report ... PG has been notified but it's very early on the west coast so it will be a while before this is rectified.

Re: Stats Server Down
The stats server went down between say 16:15 and 17:00 CDT. This is still "normal hours" there. Might it not be a good idea to have someone check on the stats server before they leave for the day and fix it if need be? The server was probably down for over 20 hours this time.

Re: Stats Server Down
Is The Stats server down again???
Yesterday i had 0 points, and 0 points so far today, but web control keeps running so it seems i am still folding.
Advanced control shows i am completing wu's and getting points but none are being posted on the stats pages.

Re: Stats Server Down
Yeah, it's been down since Thursday night... flat files also. They were reported to PG.
Re: Stats Server Down
I'm new to this, will we still get the credits from the time while there down. Guessing no, but would be nice
Re: Stats Server Down
Yes credits are still being counted, all is still working except the upload for stats, usually when it is down on a weekend we see a catch up on the Monday/Tuesday with a spike over 1 or 2 updates.Trilogz wrote:I'm new to this, will we still get the credits from the time while there down. Any news about the stats issues ?
I dedicate my participation to my grandmother died in 1992 because of Parkinson's disease
and to my friend Benoit died of leukemia February 18 2012 ...he was 40 years old.

Re: Stats Server Down
It's very likely that nothing will change before Monday ...
Re: Stats Server Down
And once it is fixed it's very unlikely that we'll be told what the problem was and why it wasn't resolved on Friday. As someone with a considerable amount of Wintel support experience, I find the lack of feedback from the Pande group incredibly frustrating.

Re: Stats Server Down
Keeping the stats servers updated has a pretty low priority and there's no reason to expect that to change. It's just lucky that Monday's not a holiday. Just keep on folding!

Re: Stats Server Down
Agreed. It's a much bigger problem when assignment servers go south and/or the various projects don't return points for whatever reason.SteveWillis wrote:Keeping the stats servers updated has a pretty low priority and there's no reason to expect that to change. Of course, I am assuming Stanford has the resources to restart/reboot a server remotely and this has already been tried with the issue being elsewhere.
