I have the problem on my Linux server that the gpu slot will not start. The Log looks like this:

The CPU slot works fine, but the gpu queue's status never changes from Ready.
I have a AMD Radeon HD 6990 GPU, and a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T CPU. The machine is running Kubuntu 15.10.
Driver version is 2.15.201-0ubuntu2~15.10.2

You'll get more help by posting your issue in a more appropriate place. The end of thread in a CPU forum is definitely not the best place for a GPU issue ...

There's a pretty high probability that you're using the wrong drivers. Visit the ATI website and install the one they recommend rather than whatever was distributed with your Linux distro.
