Cause there is no OC function on the laptop and it runs on stock speed that can not be the problem. The laptop has run for months with F@H without a problem but since the server maintenance the problem started. When folding a SMP WU the client didn't gave a error message and finished the WU before the deadline.

Is it possible to get other WU than the 8900's. As far as i can see only those WU gave problems with the AMD GPU.
The problem may have started when the servers were moved, but I'm confident that's not the source of the problem. Many servers did not come on-line easily and in an effort to have people able to fold again, a number of other changes were made. In the case of p8900, that one of the few servers with GPU assignments that came back on-line quickly. With servers for other GPU projects still off-line, changes were made that allowed p8900 to be assigned to machines that had not been assigned any of them. The problems you're describing had NOT been detected during pre-release testing. Now that the problem is evident (though still not fully understood), a permanent fix needs to be devised.

Please check your recent logs. Have you been assigned any WUs from p7810/p7811? If so, how did they fare?

This new type of WU requires very up to date drivers. I see you have Windows 8, so I will assume they are recent drivers, but we need to document what version is installed on the laptop. Please post that version info.

Tip of the day: Install drivers first, ask questions later.

As far as i can see Windows used it's own drivers instead of the official Catalyst drivers. I have installed the latest drivers now.
At the moment the laptop is folding the WU. There were some problems at the beginning but maybe that come by the other programs that were opened.

This WU, (P8900 R631 C0 G104), was reassigned following two failures and was successfully completed, being added to the stats database on 2013-09-02 15:00:22 for 27936 points of credit.

Is it possible that your laptop is getting too hot?

The temperature of the APU is about 50C/122F using open hardware monitor. The windows error message shows up at the moment the the GPU is starting to work. The client ran the whole night but after the windows message there is no activity from the client.
Closing the client is the only option for the client to restart the WU.

Below the log file after the windows message appears. This stays at this point as long as the client keeps running
