Use Two Machines on my home network?
I have installed F@H on two machines on my home winxp network. Without making any network-specific provisions. Is this okay?

Yes. Each machine gets its own unique machine ID to differentiate it to the F@h servers.

Be sure to request and enter a passkey so you get all the optional bonus points.

Yes, I did that on the second install - I don't remember it raising the issue on the first one. It's okay then, thankyou, I'll just let them get on with it. Got one more half way decent machine and I'll install on it, too.

Re: Use Two Machines on my home network?
You actually need to explicitly enter the passkey on both machines - it won't automatically generate quick return bonuses on the first machine unless the passkey is added. And, of course, you need to have successfully completed 10 bonus-eligible work units with the passkey present at work unit download with a success rate of 80% or better. Then you will start receiving bonuses on subsequent work units.abrogard wrote:Yes, I did that on the second install - I don't remember it raising the issue on the first one. Oh, okay. I didn't know that. I've just done it.
Thanks.

Thanks.
