No Appropriate Work Server Available

Post by joe53 »

I've not been able to download any WUs for the last half day, after my SMP Client v. 6.34 has been working well continuously for almost 2 years. All attempts to get work fail. Passkey is found and 8 cores are detected. My last WU was successfully sent yesterday. Closing program and a system re-boot does not help.

What to do to fix this? Is this a server problem at F@H?

Seeing some logs would be useful in order to determine which server(s) you're having problems with, if any. According to http://fah-web.stanford.edu/pybeta/serverstat.html, most SMP servers seem to be up and running.
Win7 64bit, FAH v7, OC'd
2C/4T Atom330 3x667MHz - GT430 2x832.5MHz - ION iGPU 3x466.7MHz
NaCl - Core_15 - display

It happened to me several times. Only with client v6.34. Stop the client, remove - unitinfo.txt ; queue.dat ; MyFolding.html and folder work. Launch v6.34 .exe, should be OK :)

Thanks so much! That fixed it. I see all those files were re-created on opening the client.

I am most grateful for your simple solution. :D

The real solution to the problem is to upgrade to V7.
