Radeon HD 6410D Status: FAILED

It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Hi,

I have a problem with my GPU, just installed the client at this PC. (Windows 7)

I had problems with a missing DLL called 'OpenCL.dll', but I found a topic here which told me to download it from the internet and paste it into the clients directory. Appearently it worked and the message disappeared.

From the log, I don't understand what's the problem here. Is the file downloaded from the project corrupted? And a 'bedfile' seems to be missing, never heard of such a thing. Anyway, CPU-Folding works fine.

Please post the System Info and Config sections of the log.

You may need to go thru a complete driver reinstall as explained here.

Also, this post may help.

Thanks, that looks good with one exception. You have 2 cores but the GPU is going to require one of those once it's working, so I suggest you finish the SMP slot, remove it and, if you wish, add a Uniprocessor slot. They are normally slower than SMP and don't produce as much work but the work they do produce is important to the project. You may find that the total PPD produced with your GPU + 1 Uniprocessor is actually less than running just an SMP slot without the GPU folding but you'll need to experiment to determine which setup is actually the most productive for your setup.

As to the GPU try my last link above first and if that doesn't work or says OpenCl is already installed then try the link explaining how to do a clean install of drivers known to work with folding.

Just to be clear if you're going to add a GPU slot you're not going to keep the SMP slot but actually remove it and add a Uniprocessor slot.

One other thing is that you should get a passkey if you don't already have one: http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ-passkey.
