It seems that a lot of GPU problems revolve around specific versions of drivers. Though AMD has their own support structure, you can often learn from information reported by others who fold.

Hey guys,
I have 7770 OC working but my 7850 on a separate computer isnt working, It shows that its finding the right GPU (updated the GPUS.txt file).

Sorry, didnt really explain it well. It sits there saying its running (green box) but CCC says that it isnt being used at all.

Which version of the Catalyst drivers are you using on each machine? There have been reports of problems using the latest revisions of the drivers, pre-12.4 appear to work and install OpenCL properly. Not sure which is the earliest version that supports a 7850.

You can see where it wasnt working so I stopped and started it again but still the same thing is happening. Any help would be appreciated.

It has been a while since I installed ATI drivers and I don't remember whether OpenCL is packaged with every install or you have to download it separately. That may also depend on whether the drivers are the default version from Microsoft or whether they're downloaded directly from AMD/ATI. Be sure you have OpenCL.

In standard versions yes, but not in beta versions.

Does it matter if its a 32 bit system or a 64 bit system? Or is there a place I should be putting the file?

I've tested quite a few betas (released to public and some that weren't) and they all have included the APP SDK Runtime.
12.8 was released as WHQL certified and the only beta version of it was 12.7 which did include the APP SDK Runtime.
