Re: FAHWatch7
Just some teaser
log with filtering options
log with filtering options
graphs are not how they should end up, just giving an idea
single work unit
multiple work unit's
Queued work units with filtered log
yes, ppd calculation's are wrong when a unit has no completed frames, in the end it should use historical data to predict the eta until enough frames are run to predict it based on that.
Date tracking outside of log 'date' lines are now shown in the log
But I have to correct the offset when using utc to local time
you see...
Not all is well btw,
caused by this for instance ( though this is an easy fix )
Still need to finish this -> ( only the exception sender is finished )
I hope you like what you're seeing. I got things which need fixing before it's release worthy but if all goes well what you're seeing will be ready this week ( and if I can't make everything run as intended I'll probably remove them so I can release a new build which should be stable ( .. enough )).
Remember you're my beta testers, this is not finished software I need your help and feedback to make this into a finished and polished tool.

Re: FAHWatch7
I had some local issues to sort out, they seem to be all fixed so I'll be sending some more pm's to people who showed interest either later today or tomorrow.

Re: FAHWatch7
I registered a new domain and am setting up cms now, I am looking for alpha/beta testers with enough interest to test and report/suggest things before making newer public releases. Those who already pm'd me or send me an email will get an invite, if you have not done so yet now would be a good time.
A limited amount of people will also ensure there are no capacity problems since the site will also be the back end for FAHWatch7 so it will be possible to look up hardware/project specific statistics ( this is off course a option which people don't need to use, but I expect the alpha/beta testers to use it so I can actually validate the code for it ).
I want to include a 'check for update' at application start, this might go through the new site or through the google code page.
I also need to remove the crash report code which was using a gmail account to send emails, this works but is against eula I been told ( I know it is for hotmail, wasn't sure for gmail but I don't want to take a risk as my repository is also on a google page ). A web service which dumps the reports in a db will replace that.
When this first bit is stable I'll look at adding web based remote monitoring for registered users so you can use a browser to check your clients and eventually also control them if you choose to enable that feature ( any site can get hacked .. on the other hand good salting and hashing of passwords should make it very hard to break into specific user accounts, and we can always limit the possible commands to exclude certain things like changing username/team/passkey ).
I had troubles picking a cms, played a bit with DNN in the past so I wanted to use that but mssql instances = higher price so I had to use something which could tie to MySQL instead. Found something, need to learn it from scratch but the basics seem rather simple and extending functions might be even easier then using the DNN template modules.
This also means that anyone with experience in running a cms ( preferably N2 ) or who wants to do some of the asp.net tasks at hand is more then welcome to join.
What's been bothering me the most this evening is something which isn't even actual/relevant right now as the needed code doesn't exist yet. But: my disk quota will never be enough to store details from every member for every prcg ( min avg and max tpf, hardware, clocks/maybe temps ( when it's implemented )). I do want an actual average, so every submission will be added to the existing data taking into account the amount of submissions already done, and I do want the slowest and the fastest off course. But I also want to be able to say how the spread is so I'm thinking of something like taking 10 data points for each project/hardware combination ( the first 10 to start with, and then adjust those ten points on each new submission where new highs and lows will be made absolute, the average is calculated based on submitted avg, known average and submission count, but if the new submission's low/high isn't an absolute high/low it will be matched against the closest of the ten data points. I think this should enable keeping somewhat of a spread indication without needing to worry about disk quota's ( btw this is a big consideration in making a closed beta group for the site part, if I make mistakes and am not quick enough to correct them in time or pull the plug on a certain feature then my hosting provider will be happy unlike my better half ).
