Re: collection server refusing connection
Hello t-fh welcome to the forums.
I would not worry about that message, my logs are filled with them. They are still working hard on server upgrades but even currently it shouldn't take that long to upload the results. Eventually you should be able to connect to the work server.
The server status page linked on top of these forums list that server as being online and accepting, just give it some time. ( 171.64.65.61 is the WS, the CS 171.67.108.25 as any other CS servers are on standy eg not accepting any returns and have been for some time )

Re: collection server refusing connection
Please post the log messages immediately before the ones that you posted. The client sends data to the CS only after it has failed to send the data to the primary work server, and it's that work server that we need to know about.
I think you'll find that Project 10514 is trying to upload to 171.64.65.61, as MtM suggests. I'm not aware of any long-term issues with that server but there could have been a temporary issue.

Re: collection server refusing connection
I have now - ports check out, 171.67.108.25 is listed as "Not accept" with CPU LOAD of 8.81 (but no error 503 displayed anywhere) at the moment, and probably has been for some time. For 171.64.65.61 all values are normal and should work.
Also, I found this:
Also the WU that couldn't be uploaded has disappeared along with a major portion of the log. Unfortunately it also hasn't been credited.
Also, I found this:
andThis feature isn't fully implemented hence you should not report the Collection Server. Instead, you have to report the Work Server which is mentioned before the CS.The following CS should not be reported:

http://171.67.108.17
http://171.67.108.25
http://171.67.108.26
As currently folding WUs are still on the "Not accept" server, can I change the IP somehow?Note 4: Please remember that if the WU was an SMP one, your bonus points will decrease accordingly until the result has been successfully uploaded to the WS.

People have been very patient with you but it's getting a little repetitive since they're telling you things that have been clearly explained elsewhere. Apparently you didn't notice the post that's a the top of this forum. It's very thorough and very complete.

Re: collection server refusing connection
I've read that link and replied (and quoted from there) that I have checked through the whole page (and done what is recommended in the first post); aside of that bruce asked for more log lines which I posted and asked to check out an IP in the browser, which I replied to. MtM hinted at the server stat page, which I checked out - I don't see where people had to be especially patient with me. One thing I haven't mentioned but which should be obvious from the logs I posted is that I use -verbosity 9. I've also rechecked the page you posted - can't find anything I haven't tried before. So may I assume from your reply that I'm missing something obvious?

Sorry. I guess what I said came off as hostile, especially since I didn't really state clearly what I meant. I shouldn't post things when I'm in a hurry.
No, you cannot change the IP address. Specific projects belong to specific servers and the results have to be returned to the server that assigned the work to you.
OK. So we won't be talking about 171.67.108.25 any more. We'll focus on 171.64.65.61 in future discussions.t-fh wrote:I have now - ports check out, 171.67.108.25 is listed as "Not accept" with CPU LOAD of 8.81 (but no error 503 displayed anywhere) at the moment, and probably has been for some time. You probably restarted the client. A new one is created when the client is restarted. The old logs are kept for a while in a directory called "logs". If that's not what happened, perhaps you need to run chkdisk. Depending on how long it has been since the WU was originally assigned, the WU may have expired. Once a WU expires, it is deleted. I recommend you look through the old logs and figure out what happened. Also the WU that couldn't be uploaded has disappeared along with a major portion of the log. Unfortunately it also hasn't been credited.
Re: CS: 171.67.108.25 & WS: 171.67.108.11
When I looked for the log (file) last time it wasn't there anymore, unfortunately. For now there are no more unsent WUs left, so I'll wait and see whether the next complete one gets through to those servers.
