Thanks for the response. I've come to the conclusion that's it's a crummy connection, but I'll try deleting the work folder and queue. It did pick up a unit in the middle of the night. I guess one odd thing is that it only tries one assignment server, but maybe that's how the NVIDIA gpus are set up. [Yes, I have verbosity 9; no I can't work remotely (or at least I don't know how to); and I agree, I think I'm stuck until I get home.]

You should try this https://secure.logmein.com/US/home.aspx / my son and daughter-in-law use it daily and people at work also use it.
It 's safe.

Regular updates; he now can even print stuff from docs at home on the printer at work and also (f.e.) play mp3's from the home server on the work's speakers without anyone at home hearing anything ...

When you successfully connect to port 8080, there's no need to be concerned about port 80.

The Collection server at 171.67.108.26 has been taken off-line. It's not essential anyway. 171.67.108.25 is also a collection server.
171.64.65.54 is currently out of work, but if you need to upload something to it, it's available.

How did you happen to pick those addresses? If there are errors reported in your FAHlog, please post it.

Did you check Serverstat? Yes, it's still off-line. The client will keep trying until one of the servers accept it or the WU expires. You need to be patient.

I'm renaming/merging this topic to be in accordance with the forum policy of dealing with a specific server. Apparently only 171.67.108.21 is still in question. It's currently fully operational and it's getting hit with a large number of requests. It's trying to deal with the backlog but your log shows that it's not able to deal with the entire load. Give it some time to catch up.

Oh, sorry. I misunderstood off-line. I thought it was permanently removed from service (who knows why I thought that), so I thought it strange that the program would keep sending units there.

The client doesn't know as much as you know. The server is fine now, but the status page told you that it was off-line. The client doesn't know that so it tries to send periodically and either succeeds or gives up and waits until later when it will retry again.
