It's 1PM in Stanford now. I hope that administrators are awake... We still can't fold...
At least let us know what's the problem and provide us with information if you are working on this...

Yes, Assign2 is down. I have not heard back from the Pande Group yet.

http:/assign.stanford.edu opens just fine for me, but if your port 8080 is blocked, you'll have to wait for assign2 to come back on-line.

@poyaochuang:
This sort of response indicates that your router is responding but apparently the DNS that it talks to doesn't have an applicable entry for assign.stanford.edu. Although it won't help get a new assignment, it might help diagnose the problem if you traceroute 171.67.108.200. (Normally I'd expect the same response for both of them.) Notice that others who have posted their output show responses from many intermediate nodes and eventually from the server, itself.

vmware esxi 3.5 just received work to do, project 2662

Code: Select all

[01:40:57] Completed 0 out of 250000 steps  (0%)
[01:51:05] Completed 2500 out of 250000 steps  (1%)
vmware esxi3.5 ubuntu9.04 linuxbeta6.24 quad e5405 2ghz 1024mb only recognized 988mb during -configonly, do I need to increase it? because I was expecting 5,6 min per percent for a quad machine, thank you

Please report this problem to your ISP. Maybe they're blocking the connection. Whatever the actual issue is, it's not a problem at Stanford.

perhaps vmware esxi3.5 is a 32bit software but 64bit compatible, and linuxbeta6.24 is a 64bit client??
