hi this is my first post here , when i joined everything went great the setting was 0/500 then i went into task manager saw a strange prog; and took it out , it was folding at home

downloaded again the setting this time was 0/1500 , got my first wu , working away up to 1355/1500 , until to-night i had to shut down the pc quickly , restarted and i lost all that had built up , i'm now back to 15/1500 starting again

Look in the install directory for the software for a file called fahlog.txt. That will tell you what happened and you can cut and paste the relevant section here for analysis.

A forced shutdown can corrupt the work unit data, even though the client saves a checkpoint. Try to avoid doing that in the future, and the client will be fine.

As AZBrandon, the fahlog can also help us figure out what happened.

The above shows where the client was likely shutdown ungracefully, causing file consistency problems (some files were updated, some not.). So on restart, so did the client.
