Re: Capping Uploads
Have heard of a program called NetLimiter (first search result in Google); never used it. I heard about this program too ;) NetLimiter looks like it would do what I was asking, but it would cost me several hundred dollars in licenses for the systems I have. Perhaps I should be looking for a router ...

Capping Uploads
Did a search, no joy. Is it possible to cap the upload speeds when the folding client is returning a finished work unit? Having several clients running (all SMP and GPU) can really cripple the LAN/WAN when even one is uploading let alone 2 or 3 at the same time. Would be very nice to have a cap rang...

Re: Sent work units with wrong username.
I don't believe you can get those back.

Re: Stats Update Constantly Unavailable
I don't think there is a way to keep the stats unlocked while they are updating and still have accurate information reflected.
If they did, the information would only be half accurate at best since there are always work units being returned for credit.

P266* CLient Stalls After Sending
Several 266* work units have stalled right after uploading finished work units. Some for as long as 12 hours (before I caught them). The short-term fix is simply Ctrl-C, then relaunch the client. This one was only stalled for 16 minutes. I can post additional (complete) logs as the others do the sam...

Re: Project: 0 (Run 0, Clone 0, Gen 0)
I no longer have the fahlog.txt as mentioned above; the only way I couldbruce wrote:bruce wrote:Please post FAHlog.txt
get it working again was by doing a complete removal and fresh install.
I did this before anyone asked for the log.

Re: Project: 0 (Run 0, Clone 0, Gen 0)
It kept getting issued Project 0 (r0, c0, g0) and would of course stall there. I ended up having to remove the client and associated files and installing from scratch to get it working again. The config was fine, I use the same for all of my dedictaed machines changing only machine specific informat...

Project: 0 (Run 0, Clone 0, Gen 0)
Remember this issue, and fix from long ago, just not the actual fix or reason for it. Attempted a search, but no joy, you can't search for Project anything since 'project' is too common, and searching for combinations of Run, Clone, Gen with and without the zeros and with and without quotes are too ...

Re: p2665 points/deadline?
Just curious since this is looking like a repeat from long ago.
Are we being silently pushed away from using the SMP client
with the reduced points on these work units? It would appear
that this would be an incentive to move to other cores.

Re: 2605 (multiple) Fixed
I'm having this exact same issue with various P. 2605's (different RCG's as well). Ubuntu 6.10, Intel C2D 6400 originally at 2.9 GHz, dropped to 2.4 GHz. No dust, heat o.k., memtest stable for 3 passes (even oc'd). Just stops after Entering M.D. and does nothing. As an edit: I found several other po...

Re: FAHMon *Hung*
That was the problem, thanks for explainin', all good now.
The machines were off from 1 to 3 minutes, both before and after the host machines clock.

FAHMon *Hung*
Hey UncleFungus, sorry if this is already been addressed, did a search and couldn't find it. I have the 2.3.2b version installed and it is running almost perfectly. Occasionally, it will list one of my systems as *hung* when in fact it is not. I am currently monitoring 11 systems on my home LAN, 3 W...
