Re: 171.67.108.11 & 171.67.108.21 (old G8x/G9x GPUs are down

Is it possible that 171.67.108.11 went down again?

I have no problem receiving new WUs for my GPU, but I have 8 WUs for that server queued up waiting to be returned.

(Sorry, no log paste. I just updated to the latest client and can't seem to find the log anymore.)

Re: R/C/G

There was a long discussion on the old forum about changing the order, but nobody ever suggested it should depend on connection speed. Oh I didn't mean to suggest that either, that'd take more effort than changing it for everyone. I just meant to say that this would be to the benefit of those with ...

Re: R/C/G

Maybe it'd be helpful for people with slower upload connections if the UL/DL order was changed? Changing: WU finished Upload Download Start Processing To: WU finished Download Start Processing Upload I don't know what would be involved in doing this though... but I think it happens already if the se...

Re: Seeking basic instruction.

I'd recommend giving the SMP client a try. If it doesn't work immediately, you can delete it and use the stable single core application... but with a system as powerful as yours, the SMP client seems worth trying. For what it's worth: I've just started up again this past week and the SMP client ran ...

Thanks for the replies, I'll stick with the 32bit OS then!

Upgrade to 64bit OS?

I have an older Athlon 64 dual core processor and installed the SMP client. It seems to do ok, finishing a WU in about 2 days. The OS on the machine is Vista Home Premium 32bit and I'm wondering if I would see a performance increase with the SMP client if I bought the 64bit OS. The vista SMP client ...

Storage@Home

Is there any word on the status of Storage@Home? http://folding.stanford.edu/English/Papers#ntoc6 The paper on it seems to have been published in March of '07, but other than the paper and a short wikipedia entry on it, I can't find any more information. Is it still in development or has the idea be...
