Re: No work assigments...
I just upgraded a machine with two RTX A4000 gpus and was surprised to see no work assignment. Glad it's not just me or my new configuration. *********************** Log Started 2023-08-29T23:13:03Z *********************** 23:13:03:******************************* libFAH *****************************...

Re: FAULTY project:18450 (Multiple errors)
Thanks for the tip.
Both GPUs are running with no errors for the past few days in a different computer.

Re: FAULTY project:18450 (Multiple errors)
Thanks for the response, Joe. There were no OS or driver updates. The machine was running, relatively new setup, okay for a few WU then the errors started. The machine seems to be running stable now with a single GPU in the slot 1. I had previously run two Quadro K4000 Kepler GPUs in these machines ...

Re: FAULTY project:18450 (Multiple errors)
Again, same machine, slot 1. Again, what went wrong here? Kubuntu 22 LTS, nvidia 520 driver, 2x Quadro P4000. *********************** Log Started 2022-11-18T22:36:24Z *********************** 22:36:24:******************************* libFAH ******************************** 22:36:24: Date: Oct 20 2020 ...

FAULTY project:18450 (Multiple errors)
What went wrong here? Failed in this way ten times before stopping. (This is why I previously stopped running GPUs, too much maintenance, too needy  ) HP DL380g8 rack-mount server with 2x Quadro P4000 GPUs, Kubuntu 22 LTS, nvidia 520 driver, previously worked OK, now has issues with slot 2. Is...

Re: Raptor Lake folding - i9-13900K
That sounds either problematic or disappointing. My ~8-year-old e5-2690v0 @ 2.9GHz (turbo boost OFF, DL380g8) running CPU:30 gets ~270k PPD on p16969. FWIW I have found that v0 (32nm) cpus far outperform v1 and v2 (22nm) cpus for F@H. I have only worked with the Xeons of this generation, not the con...

Re: Ubuntu 20.04, Python 3
@samcarboni I am not the OP, but I am a long-time donor recently returned after an extended break due to unemployment and financial difficulties. I set up a machine with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS but had the two following issues (from memory as I dropped back to 18.04.5 LTS to make it work): 1. The nVidia dr...

Re: 171.64.65.124 SLOW upload/download and Dumping WU
I am shutting my machines down for now, as I have seen more WU dumped. I also want to make a comment about what I am seeing that I had not noted before. Many work units will show up to "Upload 100%", but never receive an acknowledgement from the server that they were uploaded or credited. ...

Re: 171.64.65.124 SLOW upload/download and Dumping WU
Thanks for checking on it. It may not matter now, but here is a list of work units that my machines have dumped so far (may not be complete): project:9029 run:848 clone:4 gen:126 project:9021 run:787 clone:9 gen:134 project:9029 run:5 clone:1 gen:31 project:9028 run:141 clone:4 gen:65 project:9022 r...

Re: 171.64.65.124 SLOW upload/download and Dumping WU
OK, the special characters are apparently for COLOR! When I cat the log either on the console or via ssh on my laptop, it is all monochrome. When I grep on the console, it is all monochrome. When I grep via ssh on my laptop, :ERROR is all red, and and :WARNING is all yellow. There is a difference in...

Re: 171.64.65.124 SLOW upload/download and Dumping WU
Sometimes it has been blocked by AV or port security software at the client PC. These machines are still running naked as they always have  , same networking setup. I *think* these (at least the ones in your log snippet) are escape sequences, probably newlines, which come from the original e...
