Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h client

...unfortunately I seem to have introduced a bug in 2.3.99.4 which means PPD and ETA calculations don't work properly (the parsing code is broken I think) which explains why you're getting the error messages in the log. Ah, thanks for the confirmation. In that case, wouldn't it be prudent to pull v...

Re: FahMon (multi-platform app to monitor various F@h client

Thanks for doing that. If only all moves were that easy. Here's another quick update. I started the old SMP v6.29 console client on the Win7 laptop and then on the WinXP machine pointed FahMon v2.3.99.4 to the laptop's SMP console client directory. Interestingly, it's the first time FahMon v2....

Re: FahMon Issue

I should have made it clearer in the last post that I do not use the FahMon installer package. All installs of FahMon have been from the ZIP archive. Every time FahMon is started, it is done so from a Command window using the -L switch. IMO, that feature should be an option inside the program's pref...

FahMon Issue

Hello, After a long hiatus I'm slowly getting back into doing some folding. To begin, I decided to first update the software on the WinXP machine. Leaving the old software in place, I started fresh with a new directory layout. I updated the GPU2 v6.23 console client for the HD3850 card to the new GP...

Thanks. Do you agree that the thread subject should be changed to make it easier for others doing searches?

Then how come it EUE'd on me right away?
Because you posted with the wrong PRCG in the subject line that doesn't match the PRCG in the log and everyone assumed they matched. ;)

Confirmation Screen

Hi,

Is there a way to disable the confirmation screen that appears after submitting a post and going back to the thread?

The confirmation screen also appears after editing a post. Would like to see that one gone, too.

  1. Paste log text into editor.
  2. Highlight log text.
  3. Press "Code" button.
  4. Preview.

For testing the memory, I like MemTest86+. I just burn it to a CD and power up the computer with the CD in the drive. I usually run it for at least 8 hours, but memory issues can turn up sooner.

Re: No appropriate work server was available [ATI]

Yes, thank you. There has been a very noticeable improvement. Since my last UNSTABLE_MACHINE report mentioned above, both GPU clients are able to receive work and continue to have clean runs.

Re: No appropriate work server was available [ATI]

Thanks for the updates. Yeah, server is currently unavailable, but the last WU resulted in UNSTABLE_MACHINE five times.

Project: 5745 (Run 0, Clone 59, Gen 228) was first reported as bad on 2009-12-18 (Fri), 5:11 pm. I have added the relevant part of my GPU log to the existing thread.

Re: Project: 5745 (Run 0, Clone 59, Gen 228)

There were four prior UNSTABLE_MACHINE failures with this WU previous to this one. It's unknown while the job stack is being rebuilt whether restarting the GPU client would result in receiving the same WU. [16:39:31] + Received work. [16:39:31] Trying to send all finished work units [16:39:31] + No ...

Re: No appropriate work server was available [ATI]

Since the last completed WU for the HD3850's GPU client, the following has happened: After 1 attempt, received Project: 5745 (Run 2, Clone 13, Gen 153), UNSTABLE_MACHINE. Received Project: 5745 (Run 2, Clone 13, Gen 153), UNSTABLE_MACHINE. Received Project: 5745 (Run 2, Clone 13, Gen 153), UNSTABLE_...
