Project: 8004 (Run 24, Clone 27, Gen 211): UNSTABLE_MACHINE
After checking my logs I found one error which occurred the 17th of August 2012. This machine has completed other P8004's without any problems. 18:12:40:WU01:FS00:Connecting to assign3.stanford.edu:8080 18:12:40:WU01:FS00:News: Welcome to Folding@Home 18:12:40:WU01:FS00:Assigned to work server 171.6...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
I assume the client showing only 41 completed is a v7 client? If so, there is a limit to how much v7 log is kept in memory (just under 512k) and that's probably what's going on. I'm considering some adjustments for the completed and failed WU counts. Most likely I'm going to start sourcing these va...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
Hey harlam, thanks for your great monitoring tool! I have two questions: - one of my clients has completed 92 WU's (I did a search in FAH's log), but HFM is only showing 41 completed WU's (the counter seems te be stuck @ 41). - the PPD on the web page is wrong (HFM's PPD is correct). I have a Total ...

Re: HFM net issues
Does it still give you this error when you change your folder name to smp_beta2 (instead of smp beta2)?

Re: large SMP WU upload times
Yes, the uploading of WU's also hurts my internet connection, maybe the V7 client should include a "limit upload speed to xx KB's/s" option?

Re: Suggestion: download new WU before current one finishes
Based on the information I have, I can tell that v7 client behavior regarding uploads and downloads will be different from what you know ;) ... Unfortunately, I can't tell much more about it (because I don't know if I'm allowed to do so ... I might have said too much already). :( That's great to he...

Re: Suggestion: download new WU before current one finishes
Thanks for the replies. I understand that it is important for the PG to receive the results asap and my suggestion would slow things down if one isn't folding 24/24. But what jrweiss suggests isn't that possible? Instead of uploading the finished WU, the client downloads a new WU first (after receiv...

Suggestion: download new WU before current one finishes
I've did a little search on this subject, but I don't think it has been asked before. My suggestion to improve the fah-client: download a new WU before the current one finishes. Why? Uploading a SMP WU can take some time, depending on the upload speed of your internet connection. During the upload, ...
