- the PPD on the web page is wrong (HFM's PPD is correct). I have a Total PPD of 38.984.600.000.000.006,0 when in fact I've only a PPD of 38.984

I'm considering some adjustments for the completed and failed WU counts. Most likely I'm going to start sourcing these values from the WU History data. That will fix the issue.

I think the PPD on the web page is a culture specific issue. Since you displayed the PPD with a "." in lieu of a "," for the grouping character and a "," in lieu of a "." for the decimal separator. Under "Region and Language" settings in Windows, what is the Format value on your machine. For instance, mine is "English (United States)".

Let's start with these questions and if I need any logs I'll let you know.

When using HFM (v0.9.0 r548), it seems (to my untrained eyes) that v7 SMP client does not generate as much as v6 client.

Yes, it's a v7 client. I'm looking forward to the adjustments, it will make troubleshooting (f.e. hunting down bad WU's) a client much easier!

THe previous CLIENT didn't have any problems like that. See https://fah-web.stanford.edu/projects/F ... ticket/849 HFM uses FAHClient to gather data.

That's probably the issue... I'll need to test with that culture. There are some actual .net methods executed by the xslt engine. These are used to format some of the numbers... that's probably where this is coming from. Again, I'll give it a test... thanks for the report!

I'm trying to monitor a FAH v7 client with HFM 0.9.0 that is on another computer and HFM isn't cooperating.

I put this in my allow list for the v7 client's remote IP address (no password) and was restarted.

I haven't been able to figure out what goes in HFM's client setup. I've tried various combinations of IP addresses. Also the v7 client's computer name was accepted by HFM client setup but it didn't update.

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong? Is this even possible?

Definitely possible. You say "(the) client's computer name was accepted by HFM". When you enter the setup information are you trying the "Test Connection" button? If that works and shows slots in the grid below that... then you're in good shape. If HFM simply takes a while to get a reading just be patient.

If the "Test Connection" button comes back with an error dialog, try setting the allow list without the comma. My clients simply have a space between 127.0.0.1 and my LAN subnet.

Typically when entering the "Address" of the machine in HFM you can simply use the name of the machine; but if that proves troublesome then the IP can also be used.

Also note: Your Router probably assigns IP addresses dynamically with DHCP. That means from time to time, the remote machine may change IP addresses (like when the router has to be restarted). You may choose to start using the host names -- or switch to fixed addresses.

I haven't found a solution.

In the code section below you'll see several attempts to set up the 'command-allow-no-pass'.
I've tried both a comma and a space in the allow list. Same results.

On my main rig I set the HFM Address to the machine name where the v7 client resides.
When I click the "Test Connection" button I don't receive any error or info in the box below the button.

In the code section below notice the "Server access denied" lines.
I'm guessing they are in response either to me clicking the "Test Connection" button or HFM doing an update.

In the last group of lines below you'll notice a '142" along with a "135".
I tried another Windows computer with that address with the same results.

Any ideas?

Did you change the standard port of 36330 to something different? It seems to be trying different ports.

Did you turn on file sharing in the Windows client? Can you actually see the remote computer when you right click on Start > Explore > Network?

Try changing the Allow and Allow no password to 127.0.0.1,192.168.1.100-192.168.1.149 on both computers.

I haven't changed the port from 36330 and I was also wondering if isn't looking for a different port.

File sharing is on and this HFM on my main rig has several v6 clients active.
The remote computer is available in my network.

Below is your suggested allow address using a space. I also tried a comma with the same results.
