Re: Disabling beta GPU slot
Is there a way for a third party to be able to 'see' my machine clients listed in v8, i.e. to see how they are getting on, but not be able to change anything?

Re: Disabling beta GPU slot
Couldn't fix the issue, so bit the bullet and transferred all the clients to v8.5.5 ... fond farewell HFM.NET

Disabling beta GPU slot
Did a routine update this morning (Ubuntu 24.04 LTS) and now my GPUs have been disabled across all machines, indicating some beta GPU issue (which has never been set up on these clients); *********************** Log Started 2026-04-16T08:15:55Z *********************** 08:15:55:**********************...

Re: API ERROR : TYPE ERREOR FAILED TO FETCH
Ditto - using Ubuntu. Can't log into my v8 clients or see them remotely. Suggests an issue with the server?

Re: Several of my gpu servers cannot detect the graphics card
Are you using an nVidia GPU?
If so, I needed to install the '570-open' driver within Ubuntu to get the GPU seen, see 'Not running on GPU' thread.

Got there ... finally!
Issue was the nvidia driver - I needed to install '570-open'.

Re: Ubuntu 24.04 - v8.4.9 - RTX 5070Ti - Not running on GPU
Here's the log. It seems to fail at 18:41:40, just after it identifies the GPU with "supported":false. 18:41:40:I1: Revision: 443c54e909eb8d8994405a18fb328b5b05a623a5 18:41:40:I1: Branch: master 18:41:40:I1: Compiler: GNU 8.3.0 18:41:40:I1: Options: -Wsuggest-override -faligned-new -std=c+...

Re: Ubuntu 24.04 - v8.4.9 - RTX 5070Ti - Not running on GPU
Thanks for the idea. Unfortunately the issue is still present (also even after an OS re-install).
In the settings for the edit machine, what does it mean if the GPU type is greyed, but the enable box is ticked?

Ubuntu 24.04 - v8.4.9 - RTX 5070Ti - Not running on GPU (Solved)
I have just popped an RTX 5070Ti into a machine that was running a slightly older GPU on the v7 client. I couldn't get the v7 client to work after doing that(!), so I thought I would try the v8 client ... However, I can't seem to get the client to detect the presence of the card and the opencl and c...

True
If the number is just going to be arbitrarily invented, might as well remove it, since it has no useful meaning.

Re: Official Donor Stats Change
Would a simple fix not be to count it independently once (maybe hourly?) and then pass/parse the value to any user query during that time period (?)

Re: Official Donor Stats Change
Yes, in my case it was actually "Rank 28 of 3,012,069", now it is "Rank 27 of 1,000,000" (... 27 as I moved up one place in the meantime
)
One million seems a very round number ... and it hasn't changed in 2 days - that is not normal behaviour for this parameter.
