Re: Finally Got a 3080

8 threads sounds about right for your system. CPU folding is limited by floating point operations, your Ryzen has 8 FPUs shared between 16 threads. Versions of the CPU folding core since Core_A7 have been very efficient at using the FPUs, my personal experience on Intel processors with HT is that u...

Re: Finally Got a 3080

Looks like so far that 8 threads is the max for my system. When I went to 9 points per day went down and power draw went down. I will continue to increase and see if these trends continue.

Re: Finally Got a 3080

Glad to read you finally got your 3000 series from EVGA. Worthwhile as you are on Windows to leave sufficient CPU resources for the GPU, maybe try GPU only note the work unit numbers and then add CPUs gradually to see the impact on similar work units. I turned of the CPU slot and now the GPU foldin...

Finally Got a 3080

I had been on a wait-list for an EVGA 3080 and never got to my name before they ended the list. Looked a couple weeks ago and they had a sizable instant rebate on a 3080 12 GB so I purchased it. I also update the cpu to a 5700x. So far I have been disappointed with the performance of both. When I lo...

Re: When will 2nd, 3rd, 4th wave of 3000 series come about

With the pushback of the 3070 release I wonder if they are switching as much production as possible to the 3070 so they have more supply when released so it does not appear like a paper release like the 3080 and 3090 did.

Re: PPD Database - HFM exports needed

The database is currently under maintanance. There is an issue that that WU name and path don't match. I don't know what messed this up, probably it was me. The PPD and HW stats seem to be ok, though. Currently I don't have time to set up everything again. There are too many uploaded single files I...

That is interesting. The opposite of what was reported on GamersNexus and the database on TechPowerup.

How did you determine that you had a TU106?

Re: PPD Database - HFM exports needed

@skydivingcatfan very interesting chart! Not the results I was expecting; I thought the 2070 Super would be in the lead the first couple years, but it looks likes the 2060 Super is the clear winner. I would say there is nothing clear about the 2060 Super. If you look at the HFM database there is on...

My 2060 KO is finally out of shipping limbo and actually looks like it is headed to my house so in another week there will be some data for that GPU

What model of 2070 Super are you using?
