Are there any backup "config-yyyymmdd-hhmmss.xml" files in the %APPDATA%\FAHClient\configs directory - and can you check back to see if there were any changes to your user name and when?
(Totally assuming Windows here - Linux Equivalent if your on that platform).

At best guess, it's the FAHControl interface contacting the FAHClient for stats to display?
If you put the logging verbosity to 3 - it'll probably not be reported (but still happen)...

I don't think that GPU will be much use (not having OpenCL drivers available?) - I have a similar Radeon 5650 - found the Removing the GPU "slot" in the config allowed for more CPU threads to be used

Re: Security question
The FAHClient.exe listens on port 36330 and the FAHControl.EXE User Interface (from the Taskbar icon) connects to that port to display the stats... BY default the Client will ONLY allow those connections on the local host internal to any particular machine (127.0.0.1). You CAN alter this set-up to a...

Re: Unable to add other clients to FAHControl
I've also found that in Windows 10 you need to ensure the "Network Profile" is "Private" (Work or Home) not "Public" (as it defaults to for Wifi) on the destination machines, otherwise he connections are still blocked, despite being allowed in the Windows FW. Took me a ...

Search for your username here: https://apps.foldingathome.org/cpu which will show you the last WUs per CPU.
Not aware of any sites giving CPU specific stats per user.

OK - I've removed the defunct GPU slot... Should I add / change CPU to make use of all CPUs threads I don't mind maxing out a few of these machines, they're ONLY folding

Unfortunately that system is going to be on the slow side to complete the current projects before the deadlines. If you want to give it a better chance and don't mind maxing out the CPU, remove the unused GPU slot and set the CPU to use both threads - it's currently reserved one for the GPU. Many t...

WU DUMPED after 8 days :( 13871 (Run 0, Clone 663, Gen 9)
Thanks F@H - Committed 8 DAYS(!!) compute time to have a WU DUMPED, with only a few hours to go! :x :x I have a number of CPUs squirrelling away - and I did see this one had an extended amount of time to complete, but just left it there as other CPUs delivering OK. I hope I get *some* recognition fo...

Surely removing the panels is more likely to kill airflow? Unless there are blocked filters / fans?Nathan_P wrote:A better case with decent airflow would help your cpu temps, its a nice case but airflow is not good. If you want to test it remove teh front panel and reun a work unit. You'll see the temps drop.

Another related thread recently pointed towards this stats page - which should at least give you an assurance your WUs are being received and logged (shows last per CPU related to your username): https://apps.foldingathome.org/cpu
