Re: GROMACS 2019?
in windows you can install gpu driver for both igpu+dgpu, both intel+amd and intel+nvidia works, i cant confirm it right now as im using amd ryzen cpu which didnt comes with an igpu well, instead of wild guessing on the forum, its better assembly a test project using out of shelf gromac code, just t...

Re: GROMACS 2019?
Intel iGPU with OpenCL 1.2 support is available since Intel 3rd gen CPU Ivy Bridge on Windows. But on Linux it is supported since Intel 5th gen CPU only. If you set minimum version to Intel 4th gen CPU Haswell then these also offer AVX2. So the FAHCore_a8 could provide AVX2 and Intel iGPU support t...

Re: GROMACS 2019?
seems IGPU offloading is the most promising new feature, since openmm did not utilize igpu so the igpu inside intel cpu would gonna idle anyway, why not finding some way to crack performance out of it?
plus it would be nice if theres avx2 binary

Re: FAH and Xeon Phi compatibility?
How many Donors have a GPU slot? How many Donors have a CPU slot? How many new Phy slots do you expect to be added? It isn't worth it for FAH to invest development resources into such a negligible increase in total throughput of this massively parallel distributed supercomputer. in fact, in term of...

Re: FAH and Xeon Phi compatibility?
it seems Knights Landing supports all SIMD instructions from original SSE all way to AVX512, and its software package supports centos and ubuntu. so in theory it could run FAH just like your ordinary pc does

Re: Multiple WU's Fail downld/upld to 155.247.166.*
As a CPU only folder, i found out theres one interesting thing is the A7 project never failed to downloaded/uploaded. currently most A7 WUs are assigned from A7 only server 128.252.203.9, but occasionally i got WUs from 155.247.166.219, sometime i got transfer failure from 128.252.203.9 but never go...

im running exact same kernel version on my folding pc, even same cpu architecture( albeit desktop cpu, i7 4790k) without any problem i'd recommend you checking the temperature of your cpu if you upgrade from debian stretch to buster, id recommend you do a clean reinstall, upgrade to newer major rele...
