Re: Unstable Machine reporting

I fitted a 1kw single rail psu from pcpower & cooling which at 50% load seems to stay rock solid (within .01v) from idle to full load.....The more time passes the more I am convinced this IS temp related especially as with the cooler weather this week the frequency of EUE's has dropped to 0 (I t...

Unstable Machine reporting

I fold with a gx2 and a 9800gtx both are factory overclocked then further overclocked by myself. whilst one side of the gx2 and the gtx show to be rock solid the other side of the gx2 seems to throw out an unstable machine error once or twice every 24-36 hours. I realise that the production process ...

Re: GPU and internet usage calculation

Grab some freeware upload/download meter application from donwload.com or other similar location. Actual measurements are great. ;) OK, I've done that, I expect that a weeks worth of info will suit my purposes I'd already done the calculations using the figures in the log but they seemed a bit low ...

Re: GPU and internet usage calculation

Thank you John

I was going to attempt this but thought I'd ask first. If I get anywhere at all you'll be the first to know.

GPU and internet usage calculation

I need to know more about the internet usage of GPU (nVidia) folding Each of my 3 cards does 12 units a day when running 24/7 . The warning in the "answers to" thread is a little vague.....Has anyone done the calculation with a reasonable degree of precision? I know each wu shows some sort...

Re: How can I alert Stanford that a WU isn't coming back?

I have a vaguely similar situation....I have spent the time, while the GPU server was down, setting up SMP on my folder that is running now together with GPU back online. As a result I have 2 unfinished WUs on that machine. I have my original Duron 1100 (with which I started with a few weeks back) i...

server does not have record...MY FAULT?

I started a comment about this in "next step" thread below but I have looked through the preceeding attempts that my Folder has made to send results.

one of the lines reads "server does not have record of this unit"

Should I take any action?

Re: The next step (for a beginner)

<pedant> I'd increase your memory a bit to maybe 1GB, as i dont see 2MB cutting it nowadays. ;) </pedant> But yes, enjoy folding. :) I should pay more attention That build should read 2Gig and to date all is well (almost) I'm running 4 singles presently and since midnight sunday the work units and ...

The next step (for a beginner)

So I've had a few weeks folding on an old duron using the graphical client. Now the new folding box (Q6600 G0, P5e VM, 2Meg ram)is almost ready (16 hours of prime95 aiming for 24) and overclocked to 3.4Gig I have experience of overclocking but otherwise am really best described as a "user"...

FoldNuts@johnscomputer FoldNuts@joescomputer FoldNuts@janescomputer FoldNuts@joanscomputer All of these can be tracked as separate users at the Stanford Stats, but the 3rd party stats will combine all of them one user account (subteam) "FoldNuts" because everything after and including the...

lost post [how to make subteam]

I have been asked to try to re-invigorate the stagnent folding team at our forum. I have therefore read a lot of posts here in an attempt to get up to speed. I read a post referring to team members having friends folding too effectively creating a sub team for the member. Help... where was that post...
