Problem after updating the latest version
On a Notebook with Windows 10 Home I updated the F@H client to the latest available version without uninstalling the previous version. Once the installation was finished, I restarted the PC and F@H started automatically, but in the SysTray the 'F@H Control' icon no longer appears, not even among the...

Re: Difference : Timeout and Expiration date
The version of the F@H client is 7.6.21 installed two days ago and that allowed to detect the CUDA platform and to use it even if the performances remained the same. The NVIDIA driver version is 496.13 downloaded and installed two days ago via GeForce Experience from the NVIDIA website. GPU-Z confir...

Re: Difference : Timeout and Expiration date
Using GPU-Z on my Notebook I could see that the NVIDIA 940 MX graphics card also has the CUDA platform but this is strangely not mentioned in the F@H log and in fact the OpenCL platform is used. Extract of the most recent log: ............................................................................

Re: Difference : Timeout and Expiration date
Maybe it's the translator's fault if I can't get what I'm saying across, so I'll try again. F@H uses OpenCL in both year 2020 and year 2021. The Notebook is connected to the power supply and F@H works 24 hours a day every day of the week using only the GPU because the CPU was overloading the system ...

Re: Difference : Timeout and Expiration date
..... I understand and agree with what you said but I still do not explain why in 2020 I folded from 70 to 80 Work Units per month with scores from 750,000 to 1,000,000 and in 2021 I fold at most 20 Work Units with just 500,000 points credited. The notebook, equipped with an NVIDIA GEFORCE 940 MX c...

Re: Difference : Timeout and Expiration date
That's exactly what I said, so much so that I think maybe I'd better give up F@H and get on with other things.

Re: Difference : Timeout and Expiration date
Hello, I have followed the 3D up to here and I would like to present my real case. On October 3, Server 128.252.203.11 assigned Work Unit 18201 (2896, 2, 7) to the NVIDIA GPU of my Notebook with an Estimated TPF of 46 mins 05 secs. This Work Unit has TimeOut on October 5 and Expiration on October 8....

Maybe restart your router? Flush your DNS?
I rebooted the router and I have access to EOC again.
Thanks also other users who answered me.
Good day everyone ...

Re: Folding.ExtremeOverclocking.com is down?
I don't use Proxy or VPN and I haven't updated or changed either of my PCs.Burlingtonian wrote:As @skydivingcatfan noted, the only time I have had a problem connecting to EOC is when I have been using a VPN Server.
Do you have any suggestions to overcome this problem?

Re: Folding.ExtremeOverclocking.com is down?
I have had absolutely no problems connecting to EOC over the last few days. So I would assume the problem is somewhere between your system and EOC. Since yesterday morning I have not been able to access the site from either the Desktop PC or the Notebook, even using different browsers. I have not m...

Re: Base Credit
The current WU has a TPF of 3 min 37 sec but a Base Credit of 29000. Others calculated earlier had, for example, a TPF of 3 min 14 sec and a Base Credit of 45900 or even 60500. This seems to disagree with what you expressed and what I thought too. The Estimate Credit and Estimate PPD calculations al...

After 5 years of hard and honest work, including 4 years on F@H for 24 hours a day, I retired the 'GeForce GTX 750 TI' to replace it with a 'GeForce GTX 1660 Super' card also active H24. Out of curiosity and to see how much faster the new board was I often checked 'F@H Advanced Control' and noticed ...
