Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
Thanks for all the comments and advice. Out of curiosity, what are the "poor assumptions" of an "install for all users"? As far as it being a challenge installing it, it seems to go right in and work the first time, every time. What I was looking for was a plug and play remote mo...

Re: HFM.NET - Monitoring Application for Folding@Home v6/v7
I did not choose the directory, that's where the FAH client is storing its data on both of my machines. The default directory does not exist, hidden or otherwise and I made no changes to the FAH default installation on either machine. I can see the data in the path I mentioned, C:\windows\programdat...

Re: FAHmon problem
I did override the security warnings, having "blind" faith, but it's still looking for USERS/[username]/ProgramData/FAHClient as a directory and that just ain't gonna happen 'cause it doesn't exsist. It's located in Programdata/FAHClient.

Re: FAHmon problem
I guess I'll live with checking the machines, manually. HFM keeps looking for a folder that just doesn't exsist on my Win7 or Win10 machines, not to mention tons of security warnings and over-rides being need to execute the program and its attempt to communicate.

Re: FAHmon problem
Thanks! You confirmed what I suspected I found out.
I keep getting the download blocked with HFM on Win10. I'll give it a shot on my Win7 machine. It would be nice if the "3rd Party Software" thread had updates or notes, I went nuts trying to get FAHmon working.

Re: FAHmon problem
I suspect that FAHmon is not compatible with FAH client version 7. There is no "FAHlog.txt" that I can find on either of my machines running FAH.

FAHmon problem
OK, so I'm not actually a "new" user but I can't seem to get FAHmon running. The client machine is a Win7 machine and I've tried every directory in the FAHclient program data location with no luck. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: Failed to access core package.
I had the same problem with my laptop. The first thing I did was delete and re-add the slot. That didn't work. Then I deleted the work unit directory. That didn't work either. The next time I re-booted everything went back to normal. The setup is an i5 running Win7/Pro64 and I am guessing something ...
